Ian A. McConeghey, an Iowa native, obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 2005. After working as a mechanic's assistant and a server at various restaurants for over a year, Ian attended the University if Iowa College of Law and graduated in 2010.

While in law school, Ian was a finalist in the Van Oosterhout-Baskerville Moot Court debate competition, wrote for the Iowa Law Review and worked in the school's in-house legal clinic, representing lower-income lowans in a variety of legal matters. Ian also worked in the Black Hawk County Attorney's office in Waterloo, Iowa, prosecuting simple and serious misdemeanors and assisting with legal research.

After graduating from law school, Ian joined the firm of Corbett, Anderson, Corbett, Vellinga & Irvin, LLP as an associate. Ian is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association and the State Bar of South Dakota. Ian is also a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association.

In his spare time, Ian enjoys spending time with his family, volleyball, tennis and yard work. Ian teaches a Sunday-school class at his church and participates in the local Boy Scouts as an Assistant Scoutmaster.
